The illustration on the left shows three amalgam (silver) fillings with damaged
contacts between the teeth. They were replaced with white, tooth colored
composite fillings. Fixed and a great deal more esthetic!
White Porcelain Inlays
In these examples the old, damaged silver fillings and areas of tooth decay were replaced
with laboratory fabricated porcelain inlays. Similar in esthetic appearance to
white composite fillings , porcelain inlays are esthetically pleasing but due to
their increased strength they will typically provide a longer lasting service.
Once again, there are alternatives to those ugly silver fillings. The above
examples show a pretreatment view and the completed restorations.
