The illustration on the left shows three amalgam (silver) fillings with damaged contacts between the teeth. They were replaced with white, tooth colored composite fillings. Fixed and a great deal more esthetic!

White Porcelain Inlays

In these examples the old, damaged silver fillings and areas of tooth decay were replaced with laboratory fabricated porcelain inlays. Similar in esthetic appearance to white composite fillings , porcelain inlays are esthetically pleasing but due to their increased strength they will typically provide a longer lasting service. Once again, there are alternatives to those ugly silver fillings. The above examples show a pretreatment view and the completed restorations.

The animation below shows a typical tooth being restored with a porcelain inlay.
