Barb's Cooking Corner
Over the years Barbara Ganz, Dr. Ganz's wife, has provided the
office with a wide variety of treats for patients to enjoy while in the office
or on their way home. We are pleased to provide you with some of her recipes.
Chocolate Chip
Cookies Barb's Way
Basic
Biscotti - Really Not That Basic

CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES, BARB'S WAY:
Melt In Your Mouth Good

1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cups brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 1 tbs. vanilla 1 egg 2 1/4 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 2 cups choc chips 2 cups walnuts
1 cup coconut
Preheat oven 375 degrees.
Cream together butter and sugars. add vanilla, egg.
Combine dry ingredients and add to wet. mix in chips, nuts, coconut. using
heaping teaspoons, place on cookie tray, greased or lined with parchment or
silpat and bake for 8-10 min. ENJOY!

Basic Biscotti - (Not
Really That Basic)
Just
Add a Touch of Imagination
1 stick of butter 3 eggs 1cup of sugar 1 tsp vanilla 3 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt
*This is the basic dough recipe, from here you can add anything you want,
choc chips, coconut, nuts or other flavorings. * to make chocolate biscotti add 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 1 cup choc chips.
Preheat oven to 350
Cream butter and sugar. add eggs one at a time, add vanilla. mix flour, baking powder and salt, add to butter mixture. at this point you
can add anything you want, chips, nuts etc.
Divide dough into 4 logs. bake for 30 or so minutes. remove from oven, let
cool slightly and slice. return to tray and bake for another 5 min or so.
